days 142-150...

Ladee Da.

So nothing TOO exciting happened in the past week. It snowed Friday night about 6-8 inches in some areas, depending on the snow drifts. E had a slumber party Fri night and Saturday morning we had to suit up in our snow gear and go walk to get her, bc there was no way my van was getting through the snow in our driveway.

Saturday we spend 3.5 hours at the school playground playing in the snow. The kids enjoyed going down the hill in their inter tube sled. Late that night my entire body hurt. A pain I haven't felt in years. Blah.

Sunday we went grocery shopping as the snow had melted and we were able to navigate the roads. We were also out of all liquids in the house except Brita Filtered Water. So the main items on the list according to B....Milk, Juice and Bread. He kept repeating that in the van on the way there. And yes, we picked up all 3 and then some extras. Even Doughnuts bc they were fairly well behaved in the store and I wanted one too.

Monday and Tuesday were routine school days and nothing much going on. Drop off, pick up, yadda yadda blah.

Today the boys didn't have school as it was Parent Teacher Conference Day. LOVELY.
Overall B is doing SO SO SO much better with his speech. Since August he has learned how to use 4 5 and 6 word sentences, speak more clearly, and for strangers to actually understand what he is saying. He also knows ALL his shapes, colors and numbers up to 10 even if he did call the ZERO an Oval. oh well. He's my little genius. We have an IEP meeting set for April to see where he stands for next PREK school year as he actually will be prek age by then. And I'm very proud of what he can do these days. A....didn't get a bad report as I expected. He's doing very well himself. Obviously he knew his colors/numbers/shapes etc, but is able to identify almost all uppercase and lowercase, can count to 100(and beyond). We now need to work on writing his name NOT using a flash card. I know he can do this bc he wrote his name on his wall and then blamed it first on E and then on B-i LOL at this one. SO overall they both are doing well in school.

And now its night and the kids are in bed. I'm going to go read....and clean some more. Ive been a cleaning fool all week long. I even battled my vacuum cleaner and lost.....so I bought a new one today :)
