day 356 can be summed up in one word....

BUSY.
Today I volunteered to watch Mags, while Ads and Tony went tailgating in Nashville for the Auburn vs. Vanderbilt game. It was sort of a last hurrah for those two since baby L is coming soon. I took it upon myself to find something to entertain my kids + 1. 3 words for you...Chuck E. Cheese's. Not only did I take my kids and Mags.....I took one of E's friends as well. My van was fully loaded. The ages were 2.5, 4, 5.5, 8, and 8.5. Lovely, eh? Honestly though, they were well behaved. I got $20 worth in tokens, split them between the kids, they lasted almost 2 hours. NO issues when it came time to leave, I rounded them up, they got their prizes (JUNK) and we headed to the car. They were STARVING when we came out though, so we headed to Steak and Shake. 3 grilled cheese kids meals, 2 chicken tender kids meals, 2 chocolate shakes, 1 strawberry shake, 2 sweet teas and a LARGE cherry coke, and we were off. I passed out the food and holy smokes, I don't think my car has ever been THAT quiet...ever. The only sound you heard was rustling of Styrofoam containers, slurping milkshakes and the general sound of good eats.

After heading home, we dropped off E's friend and played outside for a while. The boys + neighbor hood boys decided to play Jedi Knights and had their Light Sabers out. The girls decided to color. Meanwhile I sat in the back of the van and recovered from CEC.
It's getting hot, the kids are getting, shall I say cranky. We go in and it's time for a nap for M. So we read a Care Bears book, and she's out like a light. Whew. ONE DOWN.
We decide to head back to the front yard to make sure Mags stays asleep...more Jedi fighting ensues. She wakes up a few hours later, and guess what? THEY ARE HUNGRY.....again. Must be all that sleeping and fighting going on. So they finish up the pizza from Friday night. I decide to break out the Little People to keep them interested for a bit. These things have not seen the light of day since February. Any who...the kids played. Then more outside time at the playground, and then back inside.....for MORE FOOD. Cereal this time. and gummy snacks.

I am quite shocked that the boys were not asleep on the floor, B did fall asleep on my lap while i was watching a movie. June bug. Weird movie...really, really weird. I'll say it again. WEIRD. With capital letters. A passed out on his bed too shortly after that. Everyone is conked out, as they should be as its 11 at night. I really need to get in bed too....and sleep on a GOOD MATTRESS. The boys' suck. They need new ones. That's my mission this week. Internet mattress shopping at it's finest.

OK so now that this blog post has turned into a novella I'll sign off.
Until tomorrow.
Goodnight.
